Gather Necessary Documents: Gather All the Required Documents in A PDF Format Like –

  • Photographs: One recent passport-size photograph in JPEG format.
  • Marriage certificate: A marriage certificate if applied on behalf of spouse; it should be apostilled from the concerned authority if issued outside India.
  • Spouse’s Indian documents: A spouse’s Indian passport, if applied on behalf of a spouse.
  • Address Proof: An Indian address proof needs to be uploaded on the e-FRRO portal.
  • Birth certificates: If applying for children or of Indian origin, a birth certificate needs to be uploaded.
  • Parent’s Passport: If applying for children or of Indian origin, a parent’s passport and OCI card need to be uploaded.
  • Bank statements: Recent bank statements from India.

Schedule an Appointment:- Schedule an appointment if you have an emergency and the FRRO and police station need to verify your documents.

Visit the FRRO Office:- If you receive any request from the FRRO, then the applicant needs to visit the FRRO office.

Payment of Government Fees:- Once the FRRO verifies the details, they will open the payment gateway.

Visa Download:- After the payment, the FRRO issues the Visa Certificate. The FRRO issues the Visa Certificate within 24 to 48 hours.

Printout of the Certificate:- Print out the FRRO Visa Conversion Certificate, Stay Visa and Registration Certificate.
