FRRO Exit Permit Processing Time in India

The FRRO is a part of the Bureau of Immigration in India. They take care of Indian visa registration, visa extension, FRRO Exit Permit, and all other immigration processes. Permission is required for foreign nationals if they have overstayed in India, lost their Passport and Visa, had a newborn baby born in India, or changed their passport. Due to these reasons, the FRRO Exit Permit processing time will be different.

Once an application is submitted on the FRRO Portal, the next day your application will be under process, and if the FRRO needs some more documents from the applicant, then the FRRO will open the extra documents request on the portal. You need to complete this request; after that, you will receive the Certificate in your email within 7 to 10 days.

FRRO Exit Permit Processing Time is 7 to 10 Days

For newborn babies and those overstaying less than 15 days, police verification is not necessary. Due to this, they can get a permit within 4 to 7 days. However, if an individual has overstayed more than 3 months, the FRRO Exit Permit process can take 15 to 25 days, and the FRRO can ask for tenant verification and a Police Clearance Certificate from the applicant.
