An Entry Visa is issued to a person who is of Indian origin and born in India. To apply for a New Entry Visa, the applicant needs to apply on the e-FRRO Portal.

Here is the Necessary Documents Checklist

- Birth Certificate: A birth certificate issued by an appropriate authority in India. If it’s issued outside the country, it should be apostilled by the concerned authority.
- Parents’ Passports: A copy of both parents’ passports, first and last page copy.
- Marriage Certificate: A copy of the marriage certificate should be issued by the court. If it’s issued outside the country, then it should be apostilled by the concerned authority.
- Passport Size Photograph: A 51×51 mm passport size photograph of the applicant is required for the application form.
- Hospital Discharge Summary: A hospital discharge summary is required for a newborn child in India.
- Proof of Parents’ Residence: Proof of documents is also required to submit an application. As proof of documents, you can upload your parent’s Indian passport, Aadhar card, house electricity bill, rent agreement, or Form-C.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Parents: A no objection certificate is required from the parents, which means they do not have any objection to getting an Entry Visa in India.
- Parent Authentication: A parent authentication letter is needed from the parents.
- Travel Documents: FRRO can ask for a flight ticket for the child.
- Child Passport: A child passport is a mandatory document.
FRRO can ask for additional documents, so keep checking your emails and FRRO status.
FRRO New Entry Visa Application Process

A newborn child application process is similar to all other processes. You need to follow the same steps.
- Online Application: File an online application over the e-FRRO Portal. Fill in all the required personal details, parents’ names, address in India, and child passport details.
- Document Submission: Upload all the required documents in PDF format and one passport-sized photograph of the child.
- Extra Document Request: If FRRO requires any extra documents to proceed with your application, you need to complete that request at the earliest possible.
- Pay the Entry Visa Fee: Now it’s an online process, so you need to log in to your FRRO account and need to pay it online. You can pay the government fee via UPI, Credit Card, debit card, and net banking.
- Download the Certificate: FRRO issues a certificate within 24 to 48 hours of your payment. You have to save that email and download the certificate.
